About Sierra's Public Classes:
I am fiercely dedicated to creating inclusive and uplifting spaces through my teaching. I balance the traditional structure of breath work, asana, relaxation, and meditation with ecstatic and improvisational embodiment. Through the framework of Stress Management, I utilize research-based techniques that nurture mental health and emotional healing in ways that are accessible even to those who think, “I’m not a yoga-person.” My teaching embraces body-positive and trauma-sensitive language, as well as a goofiness that brings you out of your head and into a sense of community. As nerd for anatomy, physiology, poetry, and philosophy, in my classes you’re certain to learn something eye-opening—about your body, or, if you’re lucky, the profound inquiry into who you are. With my strong presence and grounding voice, expect to dive into an experience, not just a sequence. As my student you will be encouraged to celebrate the wild gift of the present and reminded of your inherent worthiness. Whether teaching live-streamed meditations, or sweaty vinyasa flows, the heartbeat of my teaching continues to be radical-acceptance.
